For a phone this small and compact, it’s quite amazing how Sony Ericsson still managed to pack all the essential features which were usually reserved found on the phones almost double its size. The X10 mini has a 2.55-inch, QVGA (320x240 pixels) capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support. It is powered by the Qualcomm 600Mhz processor, and 128MB of internal memory which can be upgraded via its microSD slot ( we should thank Sony for giving up its proprietary memory card). It has built-in accelerometer for automatic screen orientation. The Xperia X10 mini has a 5MP camera with autofocus and an LED flash. It supports Geo-tagging and it records VGA (640x480 pixels) video at 30 fps. There are only few basic settings available that includes Auto, Macro, Sports and Twilight shooting modes.

The X10 mini supports WiFi, 3G and EDGE connectivity. Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP is also available. For navigation, it has a built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support.

The mini uses the default Android browser and it does not support multitouch which was the case with the Google Maps as well. There are a few but useful apps apart from the usual Google application. Wisepilot and Google maps for navigation, Facebook and YouTube apps are included. Dataviz Roadsync also is also present to sync contacts, mail and calendars with Microsoft Exchange Server. The new Sony Ericsson sync is also included to sync your data in case if you don’t use either the default Google data sync or Roadsync. There are two games preinstalled as well – Peggle and trial version of Edge.

Sony Ericsson Zylo mid range Walkmans Phones

The Sony Ericsson Zylo is a slider measuring 103 x 52 x 11.5 (16) mm and weighing 115 g. It is 3G enabled with dual-band HSPA but there's also quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE for world-wide connectivity. The Zylo's got a 2.6" TFT screen with QVGA resolution and scratch-resistant surface.

The Sony Ericsson Zylo in silver is the latest handset to have been added to 3 Mobile's ever-expanding range.

Described by the network operator as a "stylish and compact slider device", the new mobile phone sports a 3.2-megapixel camera and will support up to 16GB of external memory.

However, the main selling point of the Sony Ericsson Zylo is its mp3 functionality - it comes with the new Walkman 4.0 media player and has Clear Audio Experience, which is designed to improve sound quality.

Although it has an impressive feature set, 3 Mobile has made the device available on some of its cheapest deals. As a result, consumers can pick one up with no up-front cost for just £13 per month on a 24-month contract.

This price plan comes with 300 units, which can be used on a mixture of minutes or texts, as well as 500MB of mobile internet usage.

Customers keen to get more usage from their tariff could opt for 3 Mobile's new One Plan, which costs £28 per month over two years and includes 2,000 minutes, 5,000 texts and a gigabyte of internet browsing allowance.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro Mobile Phones

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro which is the QWERTY version of the Vivaz is now shipping in select markets worldwide. We don’t have info if India is included in that list but we can assume its going to be available in India soon as few weeks ago we saw Kareena KapoorKareena Kapoor launching all the XperiaXperia and Vivaz handsets in India.

Although the Pro edition packs a full keyboard , it packs only a 5MP Camera as opposed to the 8MP found in the Vivaz. Both offer 720p HD video recording though. We don’t know if the quality should be the same but we should be findout soon.

Interestingly SE is claiming that it has shipped large volumes of Vivaz already.

SE is also highlighting the fact that both the Vivaz and the Vivaz Pro support 32GB SDHC memory cards.

The price of the Symbian powered Vivaz Pro is expected to be slightly above the Vivaz which was launched at around Rs.25000. So expect this handset to cost around Rs.26-27000.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini Pro Mobile Phones

The Sony Ericsson X10 Mini is the world’s smallest Android phoneAndroid phone and the one feature missing was a QWERTY keyboardQWERTY keyboard. Now the X10 Mini Pro is available in India for a pricefor a price tag of Rs.16000-16499 according to our sources. We told you that phone is hitting stores soon but looks like it has finally landed in India.

The only difference between the X10 mini and mini pro is the that the pro version is slightly more expensive as it packs a QWERTY keyboard and it is also slightly thicker.

If you don’t mind the old Android 1.6 and other minor flaws this handset is certainly recommended ! We love the X10 Mini and can’t stop drooling at the Pro !
